Comments: The readthrough terminator downstream of menB was found by RNA protection assays. An S1 nuclease experiment of the 5' end showed that menF and menD belong to the same operon. RNase protection assays showed that transcription of menB occurs from an upstream region in addition to the menB promoter, indicating that either no terminator or a readthrough terminator exists downstream of ytxM.
